Our Organic Honeybush is indigenous to a small mountainous region in South Africa, where it has been hand gathered by the Khoi and San peoples for hundreds of years. Honeybush, being a cousin to Rooibos, shares some similarities but brews a slightly sweeter and fuller bodied tea. Low in tannins and caffeine free it is a great tea for evenings and before bed.
Per cup: 2 tsp 100°C 5+ minutes
Can be infused multiple times.
Can also be taken with milk and sugar/honey if you so choose.

Honeybush is a sibling of Rooibos, found only in the cool mist of South Africa's Cape coastal mountains, where it has been enjoyed for centuries for its taste and health benefits. One of the worlds rare teas, our Honeybush is grown on a remote, certified organic farm. Indigenous to South Africa, honeybush was discovered in the 1700's when the locals realized that the honey scented flowers, stems and leaves from this plant could be used to make an infusion that had a pleasant taste with a honey-like flavor.
When harvesting, the plant itself is cut right down to the ground. The remaining roots do not die however, and within two years they have grown into harvestable size again, quite often nearly twice the size of the original bush.
The taste of our organic honeybush tea is similar to that of rooibos, though arguably a little sweeter. Gentle, smooth, slightly more full bodied than rooibos and with a honeyed and roasted flavour, honeybush is naturally caffeine free.
